Approve Competencies

Finalizing Competency Validation

If your hospital requires manager approval for an individual or competency group, the nurse leader must approve the competency or competency group before competencies are marked 100% complete. 

To approve a Preceptee'Orientee's Competencies:

  1. When "Action Required" is displayed on a preceptee'orientee's status page
  2. Click on the title of the competency or competency group.
  3. Review the criteria. If ready to finalize, click the Finalize button. A confirmation popup will appear.
  4. Once the finalize button is clicked, a completion date is documented and the competency or group is complete.
