Assign a Preceptor/Orientee

To Assign PrecepteesOrientees to a Preceptor

If you want to pre-assign PrecepteesOrientees to Preceptors, you can do so by following the instructions below. A Preceptor can also self-assign aan Preceptee.Orientee. Assigning a Preceptee(Orientee(s) to a Preceptor allows a Preceptor to easily access Preceptees data efficiently from their dashboard.

Self-Assign AAn PrecepteeOrientee

Nurse Leaders and PreceptorsOrientees can self-assign PrecepteesOrientees to themselves. This can be done on the preceptor dashboard page. To self-assign preceptees to yourself:

  1. Access the preceptor dashboard page
  2. Click on Manage My Assignments link

  3. Using the Quick Search, you can type in keywords of the user's first name, last name or email to search. You can also filter data by Hospital, Status, Unit,, Cohort and Account Status (Active/Inactive). To use the search filters, click on the down arrow next to quick search.

  4. Locate the Preceptor you want to add to the given user. 

  5. Once you locate the user, click the star icon next to the users name.
  6. You can add multiple precepteesOrientees simply by clicking the star for each preceptee.Orientee.
