Finding a User
To find a user and view a users status, view the help topic on Finding a User.
Viewing Notes

When viewing a Preceptee's status, click on the Notes link on the left-hand menu.

On the Notes page you will see all notes attached to the given user.

Notes are ordered by date (most recent at the top)

The notes page will display the subject of the note, type of note, author of note, and date posted. The type of note will either be “Competency”, “
Benchmark”RPI”, or “Personal”. Competency andBenchmarkRPI notes are notes posted while validating the Preceptee. Personal notes are applied to the individual and note tied to a competency orbenchmarkRPI validation. -
To view the body of the note, simply click on the note to display a popup.
Printing All Notes

When viewing a Preceptee's status, click on the Notes link on the left-hand menu.

On the Notes page you will see all notes attached to the given user.

A printable version of the notes can be obtained by clicking on the Print Notes* button - Click on Export to PDF button to print all notes to PDF. The PDF can be printed or saved. - To return to Notes page, click on Return to Notes link in left-hand menu ### Creating a Note - When viewing a Preceptee's status, click on the Notes link on the left-hand menu. - On the Notes page you will see all notes attached to the given user. - Notes are ordered by date (most recent at the top) - Click on New Note button - Enter a Subject - Enter a Body - Click Send to post the note to the user - The note will be saved as personal note for the user. The user will be able to view the note next time they log in to Engage. - Currently, notes are 1 way from a Preceptor or Nurse Leader to a Preceptee. In the current version, a Preceptee cannot post a note back to the Preceptor.
